Run Club for Mental Health!

Share the joy of running, build self-esteem, socialize, get outdoors, and have fun together this Winter through Spring!

This run club is designed for beginners, runners recovering from injury/illness, or seasoned runners who want a non-competitive space. We will focus on moving for mental health rather than weight loss or diet. All runners MUST be accepting of walk intervals as runs will blend both walking and running. This group is inclusive to all paces, gender identities, body shapes and sizes! Some gear will be highly suggested for safety on snow/ice.

Run Details: Every run will include a 5-10 min warm-up of walking and cool down; we will run for 30 min (or walk as needed). Hot herbal tea will be provided by Lake Gleneida post-run, as well as self-insulating mats to sit on.

When: Sundays at 10 AM-10:45 AM (Drop in for the runs you can attend on 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, & 4/13).

Where: Runs will take place along Gleneida Ave. and will remain on sidewalks through town of Carmel. Park on Rt. 301 near Lake Gleneida Trail sign (extra free parking on side of Putnam County National Savings Bank).

Cost: $10 per run or pay what you can will be accepted.

You do not need to commit to all sessions, but screening is required prior to participation. Please complete the registration form below if you are interested and Maria will contact you to discuss the group details.

Thank you!
